Matt Piper – 1:00 pm
Working with the New Features, Session 1

This tutorial will explore beat production and sound design with Kong, Neptune techniques for both natural and extreme pitch correction plus techniques for creating vocal harmonies, as well as Live Sampling in Kong, NN-XT, and NN-19.

Kurt Kurasaki (Peff) – 2:00 pm
Working with the New Features, Session 2

In this tutorial Kurt Kurasaki will share his techniques for Dr. Octo Rex programming, tips and tricks for programming in the new Blocks sequencer view, and will demonstrate creative CV gate techniques with the Neptune Pitch Adjuster and Vocal Synth.

E.Jones – 3:00 pm
E.Jones will present the Reason Song Files of several of his songs which have received placement, and will demonstrate how he uses Reason and ReCycle for his music production. He will also discuss how he got his start in music.

Richard Devine – 4:00 pm
Richard Devine will focus on using Reason and Record for Sound Design applications, bringing in field recordings captured from his portable recording rig, then showing how to import, edit, cut, and manipulate the audio to create unique sounds for multiple applications.

About the Presenters

E.Jones
Inspired by artists, producers, and musicians such as Organized Noise, Quincy Jones, DJ Premier, The Neptunes, Arthur Verocai, The Hitmen, and Just Blaze, Jones has cultivated a style of production that has given him the opportunity to work with artists in a variety of genres of music. Jones has produced for and worked with T.I., Ludacris, Murs, David Banner and J.Cole. Jones is also the production partner to 9th Wonder, co-producing tracks for many major and upcoming artists on 9th’s label IWW (It’s a Wonderful World Music Group). Some of Jones’ most notable achievements to date include landing a placement on Talib Kweli’s latest CD “Eardrum”, and creating the theme music for the BET show “Iron Ring” as well as the score for EA SPORTS NBA ELITE 11.


Richard Devine
During the past three years, Richard Devine has remixed top Warp artists like Aphex Twin and Mike Patton (Faith No More). He has released 4 full-length albums on Schematic, Warp, Asphodel, and Sublight records and has performed his own ear-tearing music mayhem worldwide. Based from Atlanta, Georgia, Devine has done film score work for Touchstone Pictures (with John Hues & Kyle Cooper), collaborated with BT, and has done sound mangling/programming for Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. In 2007 he signed a deal with Sony Media to release his first two Sound Effects libraries, "Pulse" and "The Electronic Manuscript" which won 2009's best sample library by Remix Technology Awards.


Matt Piper
Matt Piper, author of Reason 4 Ignite, is Line 6’s Propellerhead Product Specialist. Piper is an accomplished musician who makes innovative use of Propellerhead software for music production as well as for live performances with improvisational groups and DJ’s in the thriving underground electronic music scene in Los Angeles.


Kurt Kurasaki (Peff)
Kurt Kurasaki, author of Power Tools for Reason 3.0, is a noted Reason user with credits in Keyboard and Computer Music magazines. He also works with Propellerhead Software as a sound designer and tutorial developer. Known as Peff throughout the online ReBirth and Reason communities, Kurt is one of the originators of ReBirth Mods.
