About the Presenters
Jeff Wolpert
A multi-award winning engineer, mixer, producer, editor and educator, Jeff Wolpert has recorded some of the biggest names in today's music industry, in addition to a successful career working in film and television. Jeff is one of Canada's most successful and experienced recording engineers.
Jeff recently won a Juno Award for Recording Engineer of the Year for his stellar work on Holly Cole’s Shade. That was his third Juno Award in that category. He also won a Juno Award for co-producing Loreena McKennitt’s The Mask & The Mirror. He has engineered 7 other award-winning albums for Loreena McKennitt. Jeff has also recorded The Cowboy Junkies last several releases including Early 21st Century Blues, Anne Murray’s new releases I'll Be Seeing You, and her award winning Duets CD produced by Phil Ramone and featuring Nelly Furtado, Sarah McLachlan and Jan Arden.
Jeff will give you valuable insights into recording techniques and you will learn concrete approaches that you can employ in your studio for making better sounding recordings from a true master recording engineer.
Tyson Kuteyi
Award-winning Producer, Composer, Recording and Mixing Engineer. Tyson Kuteyi is at the centre of the Urban and Pop music scenes. His keen ability to connect with each artist's unique talent, extract just the right vocal delivery and combine it with his knowledge of beats and melodies has made him the first choice for the recording, production and mixing needs of Canada's top Urban artists.
Jeremy Harding
Jeremy Harding has become an icon in the Kingston music scene, having worked with several of Jamaica’s biggest names on projects like the Dancehall 101 CD series. Despite heavy involvement with those projects, plus managing Sean Paul, he’s ready to take on new responsibilities, and to expand his own label, 2 Hard.
Paul Irvine
Paul Irvine is an entertainment paralegal in Toronto with expertise in the law as it affects people in the entertainment industry. As an entertainment paralegal, Paul services songwriters, recording artists, producers, artist managers, independent record companies, music publishers and others in the music industry in all aspects of the business, including contract review, negotiations and drafting; consultation, artist development and solicitation; trade-mark and corporate matters; dispute resolution relating to music contracts and copyright matters; assisting and advising clients in the preparation of funding applications and company proposals / business plans.
Paul's presentation will focus on legal issues surrounding song-writing, copyrights and publishing and how best to equip and protect your interests once you have recordings perfected and ready for others to hear.

James Bernard
James Bernard will show us the ins and outs of Record, the new audio recording program from Propellerhead Software. James, who works for Propellerhead Software, is no stranger to Toronto Producers Conferences having wowed crowds for the past 2 years. Before joining Propellerheads, James spent many years as the face of Korg, doing demos for the Electribe series and also as part of the Korg Sound Design team, where he created sounds and patterns for many of their synths including. EA-1/ER-1/ES-1/EMX1, MS2000, microKorg, The Legacy Collection and many others.
A musician in his own right, James has released many records since 1993, starting out as Influx on Sapho records, a sister label of the well respected UK label Rising High Records. His first ambient album, Atmospherics was released in 1994 on Rising High. He also released records on Isophlux Records, Analog Records, BML Records and many others.
