Workshops from:

1:00 pm - Chris Petti: Using the Reason Sequencer and Synth Programming
Discover how you can enhance your tracks using arrangement tricks and automation in the Reason Sequencer. Also, how to program or edit existing synth/sampler patches to achieve greater articulation and punch for your sounds. Chris will show powerful sound design techniques using Thor, and the NN-XT sampler, as well as the Combinator, and programming possibilities using Propellerhead Hypersampled Refills.

2:00 pm - Chris Griffin: High Definition Effects Programming
This tutorial will explore basic concepts for optimizing track effects – both send and insert, especially how to use the RV7000 reverb to enhance the sound without losing clarity. In addition, Chris will demonstrate how to use Reason’s Mastering Effects suite and really add power to the sound.

3:00 pm - Aaron Albano
Aaron will show how he uses Reason in his everyday work as a producer, songwriter and remixer, giving you tips and tricks on producing music for tv shows and commercials.

4:00 pm - Ben Weinman (Dillinger Escape Plan)
Ben will show how Reason integrates into the Mathcore sonics of The Dillinger Escape Plan.

5:00 pm - Propellerhead product line Q & A

About the Artists

Aaron Albano
Aaron Albano was half of the break beat duo Ming & FS that made a huge impact on electronic music with their four full-length releases and more than 30 12"s. Avid performers, they toured and played with artists such as DMC, Moby, Sting, Paul Oakenfold, Kruder & Dorfmeister, and The Roots.

Today Aaron Albano is an in-demand producer, songwriter and remixer based in New York City.

Ben Weinman (The Dillinger Escape Plan)

Benjamin Weinman, a New Jersey native, is most known for his role as guitarist founding member, and manager of metal-mathcore band the Dillinger Escape Plan since its inception in 1997. After five studio albums and countless tours around the globe, the band has earned much respect from fans worldwide, with accomplishments such as coverage in mass media from the Rolling Stone to the New York Times, Billboard chart status, and Kerrang Magazine's "Spirit Of Indepence" Award in 2008.

Weinman himself has been lauded for his distinct style and musicianship, including being named by Guitar World Magazine as one of the 50 fastest guitar players of all time and also as one of the Top 25 Cult Guitarists. With an aptitude for business, Weinman has been involved in other industry projects and in 2008 launched Garmutt, his line of rock clothes for dogs.

Weinman is currently writing and preparing for the follow up to the 2007 Dillinger Escape Plan release, 'Ire Works.'

Chris Petti
Chris Petti has an extensive history in the Music Industry. Chris is currently Line 6’s Senior Propellerhead Product Specialist and conducts most of the US Reason Demo tours, retail trainings, and appears at most of the major music trade shows and events. In addition, Chris is also a part-time DJ/producer in and around the New York City area.
